Job Brief
We are in search of a skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) engineer to craft and carry out comprehensive exploratory and automated tests, ensuring the high quality of our products.
The responsibilities of the QA engineer encompass designing and enacting effective tests, skillfully addressing any issues that arise through debugging, and outlining the necessary corrective measures. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in assessing system requirements, as well as monitoring and documenting quality assurance metrics to ensure our products meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Diligently review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to offer valuable and timely feedback.
- Create comprehensive, well-structured test plans and detailed test cases.
- Prioritize, estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities effectively.
- Develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs systematically.
- Perform thorough regression testing after resolving bugs.
- Formulate testing processes for both new and existing products to cater to client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams like developers and product managers to understand system requirements.
- Monitor debugging outcomes and investigate causes of non-compliant software.
- Provide user guidance and training to implement solutions.
- Track and maintain quality assurance metrics, including defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and strategies for continuous improvement.
Applicant requirements
- Shown experience in making software.
- Proven experience in checking software quality.
- Know a lot about ways to check software, tools, and steps.
- Have written clear and complete plans and cases for testing.
- Tried both white box and black box testing methods.
- Used tools for testing.
- Know about using SQL and scripts.
- Worked in a flexible Agile/Scrum development process.
- It’s a bonus if you know about performance and security testing.
- Have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or something related.
